In April, my landlord allowed us (my wife and daughter) to extend my lease two months (to Jul-Aug) and gave us the option to extend another 2 months if needed, as long as we gave a 30-day notice (this Aug-01). We want to stay, (he gave us that option in writing) but now he changed his mind. He is assuming we will be leaving or wants us to leave. He wants a new tenant with long-term lease. He says if we do stay (Sep-Oct) he will keep our $1750 deposit. And, he wants to 'walk-thru' prospective tenants starting this week. Can he do any of this?
